Midway Book Blurb for Enrique's Journey

"I didn't enjoy the beginning of the book when he talks about how much he misses his mother. I thought it was important, but it just wasn't interesting to read about. I got interested in the book when he actually goes on his journey. He talks about how he has to survive and hide from the officers, and it was interesting to read about how he actually survives the journey. The way the book is written is kinda confusing. The narrator talks about Enrique as a third person and that makes me feel like the story isn't true. I think that it it was written like a personal story it would seem more real and I would get more interested about the story. I think that when Enrique reaches Nuevo Laredo that he will make it past and reach the United States." -Lisa Li
